Download, extract and symbolize tool fails

description

Hi,
Download, extract and symbolize tool and OSM symbolizer tools are getting failed in arcmap 10.1 by giving the error "The data necessary to complete this operation is not yet available. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000000A)"

I have downloaded the osm file for required area separately and loaded into dataset and trying to run the OSM symbolizer tool. Then also tool is getting failed by giving the same error.

Can anyone please help how to run these tools successfully using osm files?
Extents for my area are -112.22, 33.50, -112.18, 33.54

Hello Phanindra86,
What version of the ArcGIS Editor for OSM Desktop do you have? There is an updated version available at http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=6a2a3c3cece749558393d4e80241ef51 - note, this version is not for use if you have the 64-bit Background Geoprocessing SP installed. If you are using something earlier, try uninstalling the ArcGIS Editor for OSM that you have and reinstalling this latest version.

The Download, extract and symbolize tool directly requests data from OSM, and thus is limited by the 50,000 node request limit set by OSM. So if your area has more than 50,000 nodes, then the Download, extract and symbolize tool may fail. However, the second workflow you described sounds OK - the symbolizer should work. If you run the component symbolize tools - e.g., "Symbolize Lines", "Symbolize Points", and "Symbolize Polygons" - separately, do you still get errors?
